But on Wednesday’s episode of Love Island Australia, Cartier Surjan sensationally confessed to having had sex before marriage during a deep conversation with Adam Farrugia.
The 19-year-old brunette, who is a strong believer of the Christian faith, admitted to breaking the rules during one-on-one time with Adam by the pool.

Talking to the camera, the tattooed hunk revealed Cartier’s beliefs aren’t going stop him from getting to know her.
During some one-on-one time together, the 27-year-old asked how invested Cartier was in her religion.
‘They said you were into church, are you a massive [believer]?’ he questioned.

To which Adam admitted: ‘I don’t really judge people on what they do, i’m not that dude.’
After a brief second, he then asked her thoughts on having sex before marriage.

She responded: ‘That f**ked me up hey?’, wanting to clarify her answer, Adam asked: ‘Have you ever ever had sex?’
She responded: ‘Yes, I’ve had sex.’
Speaking about her growing feelings for Adam, Cartier said in a piece to camera: ‘Adam is surprising me everyday, his banter is what’s kind of drawing me to him. I love the sense of humor.’
Cartier told Nine she is appearing on the show to find ‘a family man who can also respect her religious beliefs’.
She was raised in a very traditional way and considers herself a born-again Christian and regularly attending bible study and church.
The brunette rarely drinks alcohol, but ‘doesn’t mind a champagne occasionally’.
