Love Island’s notorious Casa Amor postcard will NOT return this year… despite fans calling for the girls to be shown their partners’ antics
Love Island‘s notorious Casa Amor postcard will not make a comeback this year despite fans calling for photographs of the boys’ antics to be sent to the girls.
In previous years, a postcard has been delivered through the door of the villa, showing the girls what their partners have been up to while at Casa Amor.
The dramatic twist first appeared in the third series and caused drama last year when Faye Winter recoupled after seeing Teddy Soares kissing Clarisse Juliette – not realising the moment happened during a challenge.

And viewers have been calling for a postcard to be sent from the main villa to Casa Amor after several of the boys had their heads turned by the new bombshells.
But it has been revealed that the postcard, which has not appeared in every series of the ITV2 dating show, will not be making a comeback this year.
The news comes after the show’s executive producer Mike Spencer hinted back in May that the postcard may not be back while answering fan questions on Reddit.

One viewer asked specifically about the show ‘providing the islanders information with no context that is clearly aimed to create emotional distress (e.g. the postcards that are sent to the girls during Casa Amor)’.
Mike responded: ‘We have published our duty of care protocols very publicly and we have an incredible welfare team on the series.
‘I agree we have to be incredibly considered when making editorial decisions. We are also making a dating entertainment series but humour is normally at the heart of most storylines.
‘I think we are considered and it always becomes tricky with the passing of information but we aim to find balance in the show.’

When the notorious postcard was introduced to Love Island in its third series, the girls received pictures showing what the boys had been up to at Casa Amor.
The postcard included a picture of Kem Cetinay kissing another girl while away from Amber Davies and Chris Hughes sleeping in a bed with another woman while coupled up with Olivia Attwood.
Amber was seen breaking down in floods of tears and admitting that she was ‘absolutely gutted’ after the revelation. Both Amber and Kem went on to recouple with other people on the return to the main villa, before reuniting and winning.

And last year, Faye Winter chose to re-couple with newcomer Sam after she saw a postcard which showed Teddy Soares locking lips with Clarisse Juliette.
But Faye later discovered that the smooch had taken place during a game of truth or dare and Teddy had actually remained faithful to her during Casa Amor and walked back in solo.
It comes after fans begged for the notorious postcard to return this year after some of the boys have had their heads turned after the girls left for Casa Amor.
Monday’s dramatic episode saw Andrew and Davide both shared snogs with new girl Coco, as Dami took bombshell Summer to the terrace for a kiss too – leaving their couples Tasha, Ekin-Su and Indiyah in the lurch.

Many excitable fans demanded a postcard arrive in Casa Amor so that the girls can be made aware of their disloyal boys’ wandering eyes.
One said: ‘Make sure you send that postcard to Indiyah with a first class stamp.’
Another wrote: ‘Need those postcards mailed to casa amor SWIFTLYYYYY!’
A third said: ‘I’m going to need a postcard delivered to casa amor RIGHT NOW!’ while someone else said: ‘They better put that kiss on the casa amor postcard so Indiyah can make informed decisions!’
Trouble: Davide, who is coupled up with Ekin-Su, was seen sharing a smooch with Coco, before she went on to kiss Andrew in dramatic scenes
Someone else wrote: ‘If a postcard doesn’t arrive to casa amor I’ll happily go over there and deliver it myself #LoveIsland!’
Another keen fan commented: ‘I think they should send postcards to both villas every single morning that they’re in casa amor.’

Andrew and Davide both shared snogs with Coco, as Dami took Summer to the terrace for a kiss too.
However the night of kisses turned sour when the boy’s actions led to Luca, 23, claiming Dami ‘f***ed up’ and now ‘regrets it’.
A defensive Dami retorted by calling the fishmonger – who throughout Gemma Owen, 19, being away has remained steadfastly loyal – ‘fake’.
‘You say one thing and do another thing, the Dublin native hit back, adding: ‘I don’t feel like I’ve done anything wrong…shut the f*** up…you’re a child.’

Luca replied that ‘every boy here knows exactly how I feel about Gemma’, calling out Dami’s actions, whereas the Senior Microbiologist found him hypocritical.
During the day, both the main Villa and Casa Amor received a text which reads: ‘Islanders, this afternoon the Villa will take on Casa Amor in ‘Raunchy Race’. The two villas raced against each other to complete a series of saucy challenges.
‘The first villa to complete each challenge wins a point. The villa that receives the most points will win a party tonight. #HeadtoHead #LooseLipsing’
For the challenge, Casa Amor and the main Villa both received texts at the same time, and whichever Villa completes the task from the text first wins the round.
Loyalties tested: Coco didn’t waste any time as Andrew fell victim to the dreaded Casa Amor curse during the episode as the estate agent locked lips with the new bombshell
Success: The 27-year-old told Coco (pictured) ‘you’re a bit of me’ – as his partner Tasha Ghouri was out of sight, and seemingly out of mind too
Texts included: ‘The boy with the most tattoos must suck the toe of the girl he fancies the most’, ‘Ride the Islander you fancy the most like a bucking bronco for 20 seconds’ and ‘Give an underwater snog to the Islander you are most likely to share a bed with’ as the game offered up reactions and revelations galore for the Islanders.
The pulse raising challenge, which Casa Amore won, saw Luca having to (once again) suck a toe, Andrew Le Page being told to kiss six girls with his name coming first in the alphabet, and forced Coco and Davide into an underwater kiss.
The Surrey native saw her opportunity with Davide as she brought up the kiss by the firepit later in the evening.
Excited: Someone else wrote: ‘If a postcard doesn’t arrive to casa amor I’ll happily go over there and deliver it myself #LoveIsland!’
‘Did you enjoy the underwater kiss…it wasn’t my best,’ she said.
The flirty conversation led to Davide smooching her as Coco teased that he’s not ‘confident enough’ to make the move, prompting him to plant a kiss.
The heated snog was soon finished when Davide went to chat to Dami and Andrew about it.
Davide conspired: ‘I think Coco is playing a bit of a game…I think she just wants to couple up.’
It would seem Coco didn’t waste any time as Andrew then fell victim to the dreaded Casa Amor curse during the episode as the estate agent locked lips with the new bombshell.
The 27-year-old told Coco ‘you’re a bit of me’ – as his partner Tasha Ghouri was out of sight, and seemingly out of mind too.
He told the confessional: ‘Right now I’m not going to be thinking about Tasha. I’m going to be thinking about myself for once. At the end of the day I wanna be happy so, I’m definitely going to speak to Coco, we’ll see what happens,’ he explained.
And following a dare from the boys that saw him share a smooch with Coco, he decided to take her up to the terrace for another.
Pillow talk: Coco and Andrew shared grins as they later slipped into bed together, as Coco quipped: ‘Have these bedsheet been changed since Tasha?’
During the episode, the pair stepped away from the group to go to the terrace, with Andrew telling the graphic designer, ‘I did want to talk to you, as I know we had a chat this morning. You know you are my type and I definitely wanna get to know you more.’
‘Cute, why do you wanna get to know me,’ Coco questioned, as he replied: ‘I’m not going to lie, you’re a bit of me.’
Seemingly pleased with the news, the bombshell admits that her mum would get on well with Andrew and would want her to go for him, before questioning ‘what about Tasha?’
To which Andrew cheekily responded: ‘What about Tasha?’
Later in the chat, Andrew mentioned their kiss during the dare, and asked Coco if she’d like to do it again – as she gushed that he was a good kisser.
Throwing the question back at Andrew, she asked him back: ‘Do you wanna do it again?’, as he leaned in and kissed her.
It’s a stark contrast to just one day earlier, as Sunday’s episode showed Andrew looking through pictures of Tasha when she left, admitting he was missing her.
The pair shared grins as they later slipped into bed together, as Coco quipped: ‘Have these bedsheet been changed since Tasha?’
‘I make your Love Island now’: Cameras later showed Davide and Mollie sharing a snog after they got in bed together, while the lights were off – while his partner Ekin-Su stayed loyal
‘I hope so,’ Andrew laughed in reply.
Coco told the Beach Hut: ‘My evening’s been extremely interesting…I like both Davide and Andrew…I’m not sure yet…’
And Andrew isn’t the only one who has done a 180° twist since the girls left to Casa Amor, with Dami also locking lips with a new girl.
As his partner Indiyah Polack told the new boys she had ‘gotten rid of temptation’, her loyalty could backfire – with Dami going in for the kill with Summer Botwe.
Dami and Summer snuck up to the terrace for an intimate moment, while Indiyah and Deji got raunchy in a challenge.
While sitting together in the popular kissing spot, Summer asked Dami: ‘Do you feel sneaky up here?’
Dami took a dig at Ekin-Su and replied: ‘Well, we didn’t crawl in so it’s fine.’ Summer agreed: ‘It’s a secret but it’s not a secret. Would you say I’m your type?’
Dami answered: ‘Yeah, I wouldn’t really be up on the terrace if you weren’t my type.’
She then asked Dami to read her mind. He said: ‘You fancy me. You feel like there is a bit of chemistry between us. You wanna kiss me. You wanna share a bed with me tonight. You still definitely want to kiss me.’
When Summer remarked on Dami’s strong eye contact, she challenged him to a staring contest. Dami said to her: ‘If you lose, just shoot your shot.’
The pair then shared a steamy kiss.
On the rocks: Dami and Indiyah (pictured), who are currently coupled up, seemed to be going strong before the stunning bombshells walked in to shake things up
