Sandbanks is the most expensive coastal location to live in throughout the UK and demand for property has continued to rise there since the pandemic.

This is mainly due to wealthy people moving out of London and the Home Counties as they can now work remotely.

Within the past four years celebrities have also snapped up several luxury mansions in the area – for eye-watering sums.

One of those was the former home of Harry and Sandra Redknapp that recently sold for £10.5m.

The computer magnate Graeme Souness, Sir Peter Ogden and celebrity interior designer Celia Sawyer also have homes in the sought after spot.

Currently, there is a drastic shortage of houses coming onto the market in the affluent area and the lack of supply is driving prices up by £100,000 a month.

There is said to be the equivalent of a three year waiting list for waterside property worth over £1m in the area.

Waves, on Shore Road, is arranged over four floors and has been extensively refurbished to maintain the high standard of specification and décor people expect in Britain’s version of Miami Beach.

Sean Gibson, head of residential sales at Savills in Canford Cliffs, said: ‘Walking to the beach or harbour in a matter of moments, from your own front door, would be a lifestyle like no other. It is an absolute dream to be this close to the water.

‘Being by the coast has its obvious benefits, especially during the summer months. The popularity of Sandbanks – and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole in general – is that it offers a fantastic lifestyle that has an abundance of award-winning beaches and golden sands on the doorstep and a relatively fast commute for those working in London.

‘The area has a thriving property market which has been supported by significant interest from both overseas and London buyers.’
