She was recently nominated for a prestigious Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award for her work on Married At First Sight.

And now Ines Basic is ready to take her entertainment career to the next level by launching an acting career.

Speaking to the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, the 30-year-old confirmed that she’s already got an acting agent and is trying to distance herself from reality TV.

‘I actually just signed with a really good acting agency,’ she said.

‘So I want to get into that and I want to really separate myself from reality TV,’ she continued.

‘My agent said “because you’re so established in reality TV and everyone knows your name it’s gonna be really hard to separate yourself from that.”

‘So that might be a bit of an uphill battle but we’ll see what happens.’

The brunette beauty admitted that she’s tried to distance herself from her portrayal on MAFS by utilising YouTube and Instagram to show off her personality.

She added that ‘serious acting is an incredible way to discover parts of yourself.’

Ines also compared filming Married At First Sight to ‘being on a film set’ and admitted that she wasn’t taking the experience seriously until she fell for Sam Ball.

Last month, both Ines and Sam received a nod from the AACTA Awards for Favourite TV Moment of the Decade for their steamy affair on the Channel Nine series.

The pair memorably cheated on their partners during the sixth season of Married At First Sight, which brought in record ratings for the network.

Speaking to The Wash, Ines admitted that she was stunned by the amazing news.

‘That is incredible I’m honestly so stunned and so grateful. I poured my whole heart and soul into filming that,’ she said.

Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant, who both found love on the same season as Ines and Sam, are also nominated, picking up a joint nod for Favourite TV Contestant of the Decade.

Also up for the gong is the Thailand Cave Rescue, in which 12 Thai boys and their coach were rescued from a cave.
