In a candid Q&A shared to his Instagram stories, the former plumber shut down rumours that the pair drifted apart because of online trolls.

Alongside a selfie of him at the airport, Jackson, 31, wrote: ‘Splitting up with someone isn’t abandoning them.’

Jackson then explained: ‘Us splitting had nothing to do with the haters… We had just drifted apart.’

It comes weeks after Olivia, 29, took to her own platform to rubbish rumours that Jackson pulled the plug on their romance.

‘I understand people like to think that I got ‘dumped’ but it wasn’t like that at all,’ she said. 

‘There’s no ‘juicy’ story. There’s no truth to the ‘haha he dumped you’ comments people say. It was a peaceful, joint decision.’

The former teaching assistant added she wouldn’t mind if Jackson began a new relationship.
