MAFS’ Nasser Sultan looks downcast as he’s spotted on construction site in Sydney

He’s reportedly ‘blew his savings while chasing fame’ over the past two years.

And on Thursday morning, Married At First Sight’s Nasser Sultan hit the final nail into his status as a leading reality star as he embarked upon a whole new career.

The former personal trainer, 52, was seen arriving at a construction site in Sydney’s CBD, appearing unusually camera shy and downcast.

Dressed the part, Nasser looked world’s away from his time on Australia’s highest rated reality show last year, as he got his hands dirty.

The lack of dirt and creases across Nasser’s orange hi-visibility vest suggested it may indeed be his first day on the job.

It is currently unclear what trade the former television personality specialises in, but it seems he is now ready to earn an honest wage.

As Nasser left the work-site he still had his safety goggles around his neck.

Nasser’s financial woes became apparent last week when he was pictured leaving a Centrelink in Darlinghurst, where he had been seeking employment.

‘He has run his savings accounts dry while holding out for some kind of “big TV offer” to come his way,’ said a source with knowledge of the situation.

‘He’s barely earned anything in years and is now facing up to the reality that he may actually have to forget about his “celebrity” status and get a real job.’

The insider added that Nasser’s popularity peaked after his season of MAFS ended in April 2018, and he naively believed his fame would ‘last forever’.

However, these days, the freebies, clothing sponsorships and complimentary meals at restaurants he was living off have dried up.

Suggesting times are ever harder than first imagined, Nasser’s $1.1 million Surry Hills town house was recently listed for let under a local real estate agent.

It is believed he is temporarily moving into a share-house in Bondi, hoping to earn additional income from moving tenants into his home.
