A 26-year-old man was refused bail after he allegedly ‘sexually touched and assaulted up to nine people’ – including two young girls – at a busy shopping centre.
Police were called to the Westfield shopping centre in Liverpool, southwest Sydney, about 3.15pm on December 21, 2022, following reports a man allegedly touched two girls aged six and nine.
A man was arrested a short time later after being stopped by security leaving the complex.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and initially faced two charges of common assault and stalking or intimidate with the intention to cause fear of physical harm.

However, the local Liverpool man was handed down 18 more charges last Thursday following continued inquires by NSW Police.
They include three counts of sexually touching another person without consent, four counts of intentionally sexually touching child under 10 years, two counts of intentionally sexually touching a child aged between 10 and 16 years and nine counts of common assault.
It is understood the man allegedly assaulted or touched up to nine different people in the shopping centre on the day of his arrest.
He was refused bail and is set to appear in Liverpool Local Court on January 9, 2023.
NSW Police are continuing to investigate the matter.
