Mariska Hargitay spotted on rare public outing with son August, 17, as they sit in the stands during US Open match
Mariska Hargitay was spotted on a rare outing with her son August, 17, on Thursday afternoon in in Queens, New York.
The Law And Order: SUV star, 59, and her eldest child eagerly took in all the high-intensity action from courtside seats during the 2023 US Open.
Before her husband Peter Hermann, 56, joined them in the stands, the actress enjoyed some one-on-one time with August.
For the match, Hargitay looked sharp in a white long-sleeve button-up shirt and yellow crossbody purse.
Her brunette hair was styled in loose waves and she opted for minimal makeup.
Meanwhile, her teen rocked a blue button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
Mother and son were riveted by the quarter final action between number 10 seed Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
During a lull in the action, August sweetly rested his head on his mother’s shoulder as they remained seated in the stands.
Eventually, Hermann made it to his reserved seat, where he sat next to his wife of more than 19 years.
In the end, Shelton beat Tiafoe in four sets 6-2, 3-6, 7-6, 6-2, to move on to the semi-finals to face off against 23-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.
Afterwards, Hargitay took to her Instagram page to offer thanks alongside a selfie snap of herself and her husband.
‘Thank you @cadillac for hosting us at @usopen for the glorious @bigfoe1998 vs @benshelton match,’ she wrote, before adding a number of shout-outs.
‘Congratulations @karolinamuchova Thank you @billiejeanking #tennis #tennislove #ItWasHot #SoVeryVeryHot CONGRATULATIONS @benshelton #Petska #TheHermanns #usopen #quarterfinals.’

She included a photo of Henry celebrating his epic win.
‘Just beyond proud,’ she added. ‘And we have the same birthday!! Does that mean I’m awesome too? Sort of? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! WE LOVE YOU.’

The couple just celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on August 28.
They welcomed their eldest child August in 2006, and then went on to adopt daughter Amaya, 13, and son Andrew, 12, within less than a year of each other.
