Mark, known as The Beast, displayed his weight loss during an appearance on Loose Women in November.

The TV personality showed off his slimmed down frame in a purple shirt and blazer as he sat on the panel.

Mark, who has gone from a size 5xl to 2xl, also revealed how he shed the pounds, saying he’s been ‘eating less and drinking more’ and focusing on his health.

He said he completely changed his diet due to battling diabetes and said that played a part of his weight loss.

‘I think the diabetes may have helped because I eat a lot less. I drink a lot more fluids,’ he said about his weight loss.

‘And looking after a five year old during lockdown didn’t help. The amount of times I collapsed in a heap! Plus I’m so busy these days,’ he added.

It came after Mark, shared a picture of himself shirtless and showing off his weight loss back in January

He said in the caption that he has gone from a size 5xl to 2xl, but said at the time that he ‘still has work to do’ on his figure.

He credited his Golden Retriever, named Baloo, with helping him get into the habit of a regular workout routine.

The TV star said his estranged wife had initially promised she would care for the dog, feed and walk him when they first got him.

He recalled: ‘That lasted about two weeks before she decided, ”Actually Mark, look at your belly – you need the exercise!”

‘I was walking him around the fields, taking me places. I think he’s helped a lot, simply because I’m doing more activity,’ he said.

He previously said on Loose Women that he was advised by a friend not to have a gastric band because of how he gets his calories from sugar, which is hard to digest.

Mark also credited his son for his weight loss, saying: ‘The principal thing is running after a hyperactive toddler when nurseries have been shut.

‘I’m sure every woman knows this, how do you keep up with them? I found at the end of the evening instead of going to the fridge for late night snacking, all I could do was collapse on the bed,’ he said.

In the UK about 90 per cent of diabetic adults have Type 2 diabetes

Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person’s blood sugar level to become too high.

There are two main types of diabetes:

– Type 1, where the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce insulin.

– Type 2, where the body does not produce enough insulin, or the body’s cells do not react to insulin.

Type 2 diabetes is far more common than Type 1.

In the UK, around 90% of all adults with diabetes have Type 2.

Reducing the risk of Type 2 diabetes can be achieved through healthy eating, regular exercise and achieving a healthy body weight.

The main symptoms of diabetes include: feeling very thirsty, urinating more frequently (particularly at night), feeling very tired, weight loss, and loss of muscle bulk.
