Married At First Sight’s next season will be the raciest ever with sex expert Alessandra Rampolla set to introduce new challenges to create ‘passion between the newlyweds’

The upcoming season of Married At First Sight Australia is set to be the sauciest yet. 

Resident sex therapist Alessandra Rampolla will have a bigger role on the show than ever, and will introduce ‘four or five’ new challenges designed to create ‘passion between the newlyweds’, The Daily Telegraph reported on Saturday.   

‘We will get Alessandra a bit more involved in the sexuality part of it,’ Nine’s head of content Adrian Swift told the paper.

‘What we have always found is a complete bellwether for how a relationship is going is how sexually they are getting on,’ he went on. 

‘And that getting on might be sexual tension, which is good, it might be sexual resolution, which is good, or it might be, and this often happens, sexual resolution and then nothing.’

Adrian added that the new season will be ‘turned up to eleven’.

It comes after Married At First Sight relationship expert John Aiken shut down rumours the next season of the hit Channel Nine show will feature celebrities.

John confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle that MAFS will have the same format for its tenth season next year.

‘I think we just keep doing what we’re doing,’ he said.

‘I don’t think we need to go down the path of Celebrity MAFS. I think we just keep 2023 with essentially the same ingredients: singles looking for love, trying their best to fall in love,’ he added. 

John also revealed in the interview that he doesn’t keep in touch with MAFS participants once filming is over, but does enjoy watching them ‘shine post-show’.
