‘Vinnie is a legend, but I’d be on the phone to him for hours trying to go through songs and ideas,’ Pinto said.

‘He’d ask me, “Can we do a sea shanty?” And I’d be, “Vinnie, we don’t do sea shanties!” He was so rough, he’s not a singer, but he doesn’t really care.’

Pinto also said chef George Calombaris worked hard to find his singing voice.

‘George is a hard worker, and a very sweet fella,’ Pinto said. ‘I did more time with him than most singers. He’d always go, “Come on, we need to rehearse more.” He put in more work than most of the singers.’

The Masked Singer Australia has featured seasoned vocalists including Cody Simpson, Rob Mills, Deni Hines, Paulini, Kate Ceberano and Bonnie Anderson.

Anastacia, Jack Vidgen, Kate Miller-Heidke, Mahalia Barnes, Katie Noonan, Lucy Durack, Isaiah Firebrace, Christine Anu and Macy Gray have also made appearances.
