Megan thee Stallion has left thousands of fans disappointed after she pulled out of Festival X in Australia just days before her scheduled appearance.

The American rapper, 27, was due to perform her first series of concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide put cancelled at the final hour.

Organisers announced via social media on Wednesday that she was no longer on the bill while confirming she won’t be replaced with another artist.

‘Due to unforeseen circumstances, Megan Thee Stallion will not be able to travel to Australia to perform at Festival X,’ the Festival X team advised in a statement.

‘Whilst our goal is to present the best experience for fans, despite our best efforts, it will not be possible to find a replacement at such short notice.’

Calvin Harris and American rapper Don Toliver will instead play longer shows.

Unhappy with the news, fans took to social media to express their anger at the news and Festival X organisers.

‘I hope Megan cancelling Festival X was a bad joke. Like a really bad joke,’ one cried.

‘Megan not even coming to perform at Festival X in Sydney. There’s no point in me going anymore,’ another tweeted.

A third said they were devastated to learn the news so last minute, having planned to travel to a different city to see the US rapper.

‘I still can’t believe I am travelling all the way to the Gold Coast for Megan and she won’t be there. I f**king hate Festival X. You b**tards,’ they wrote.

Others compared the upcoming string of concerts to the cursed Fyre Festival and said it was alarming that organisers have switched off Instagram comments on their posts.
