Meghan King DROPS two orders of protection against ex-husband Jim Edmonds… as he looks ‘forward to putting all this nonsense behind him’
Meghan King has had two orders of protection against her ex-husband Jim Edmonds dismissed, a temporary restraining order and child protective order.
King’s attorney dismissed the temporary restraining order King had been granted against Edmonds in addition to a child protective order that had been requested but not granted, People reports. In addition, a consent order had been entered in their previously finalized divorce case.
Speaking with People, King, 37, claimed she would remain ‘protected’ with the help of a ‘binding document’ that had not been made public.

‘As I continue to heal I’ve become enlightened and more aware of what I’ve been through and how to handle it. Let’s just say I’ll remain protected and safe with a binding document not accessible to the public,’ she told the site.
Edmonds’ representative Steve Honig told People his client was happy to start a new chapter with his fiancee Kortnie O’Connor and put ‘this nonsense behind him.’
‘Jim is looking forward to putting all this nonsense behind him as he begins his new life with Kortnie and continues to focus on the needs of his children,’ the statement read.
King had been granted the temporary restraining order against Edmonds earlier this month, claiming her ex had been verbally abusing her over their child custody agreement.

King filed the court documents in Missouri back in June according to a TMZ report over what she described as ‘frequent and consistent verbal abuse’ via texts.
The court order also claims the same behavior would occur on their shared Family Wizard app in which they use to co-parent their three children: five-year-old daughter Aspen along with three-year-old twin sons Hart and Hayes.
The publication reports that it remains unclear what Edmonds had said to her but insiders told them that it has to do with their shared custody agreement specifically regarding the pick-up/drop-off schedule which King claims has not been followed.

Third marriage: Last year, Meghan entered a short-lived marriage with President Biden’s nephew Cuffe Owens
King also claims that Edmonds has been trying to have this case sealed while she wants it public.
Edmonds’ representative Steve Hoenig released a statement to TMZ which read: ‘This request for an order of protection is completely baseless and furthermore makes an absolute mockery of the pain suffered by the millions of women in this country who are legitimate victims of abuse.’
King and Edmonds married in 2014 but separated in 2019, with their divorce officially finalized in 2021.
King’s first marriage was to Brad McDill. The two were married in the summer of 2007, but ended in divorce in 2011.
She tied the knot last year with President Biden’s nephew Cuffe Owens, but they split up after two months of marriage. In July, King revealed the union had been annulled.
Edmonds, meanwhile, is now engaged to his and Meghan’s former threesome partner, Kortnie O’Connor.
