Meghan Markle has admitted she is a fan of the Real Housewives franchise but stopped craving ‘other people’s drama’ when her own life became turbulent.

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, who lives in Montecito, California, talked of her love for the show with presenter Andy Cohen on her podcast Archetypes.

She said she used to love the Real Housewives of Orange County, because the women on the show felt close to her life as a Californian native, but also ‘foreign’.

Cohen joked about rumours that claimed Meghan would appear on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after she and Prince Harry moved to the US in 2020 following Megxit and the mother-of-two insisted she had no plans to appear in any reality TV show.

However, Meghan will soon be appearing in a fly-on-the-wall series when Netflix released its £88million production following the Duchess and Prince Harry next week on 8th December.

‘That I stopped…’ Andy finished her sentence for her, saying: ‘craving other people’s.’

Meghan agreed with his interpretation, and said: ‘I get why it was such a huge huge part of pop culture and when it began because you began with Orange County and I’m from California, at least,’ she added.

‘It felt remotely like a world that I knew but still felt so foreign,’ she added.

Cohen went on to mention rumours that were swirling around a possible appearance from Meghan on the Beverly Hills series of the franchise after she and The Duke of Sussex stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US.

She laughed them off, saying she wasn’t aware of any rumours and that she wouldn’t appear in any TV reality TV show.
