Melrose Place stars Daphne Zuniga, Laura Leighton and Courtney Thorne-Smith look overjoyed as they have a mini-reunion at lunch

They dealt with plenty of drama on their popular primetime soap opera Melrose Place, which premiered 30 years ago.

But Daphne Zuniga, 59; Laura Leighton, 53; and Courtney Thorne-Smith, 54, looked as if they were the best of friends when they had a mini cast reunion on Thursday.

Daphne shared a photo of the three actress beaming ear-to-ear after enjoying a lunch date together.

‘Had such a great, long lunch with my friends Laura Leighton and Courtney Thorne-Smith!’ she gushed in her caption.

‘You may remember seeing us having a blast together on tv in the 90s,’ she wrote, adding ‘The [heart emoji] is real,’ along with the hashtags, ‘#girlfriends,’ ‘#lunch, ‘#summervibes’ and ‘#MelrosePlace.’

Daphne was a vision in her summery green dress, which was decorated with a floral print. She added a slim black handbag to her ensemble and wore a cool pair of aviator sunglasses.

Laura looked casual and comfortable in a white blouse with jeans and a peached-colored linen shirt that she left unbuttoned. She covered up her brilliant red hair with a straw hat with a brown mottled band.

Melrose Place debuted in July of 1992 as a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210.

The series was rebooted in 2009 for a single season, and its sister series BH90210 received a swiftly canceled reboot in 2019 featuring some of the original cast, likely ensuring that Melrose Place won’t receive the same treatment.

The cast of Melrose Place recently suffered tragedies. Earlier this month, it was announced that the actor Brad Johnson had died of Covid-19 complications, though his death had occurred months earlier.

Later in June, Jack Wagner’s son Harrison was found dead in a parking lot in Los Angeles at age 27.

Although his cause of death hasn’t yet been officially revealed by the coroner, Wagner said that his son ‘ultimately lost his battle with addiction’ in a statement announcing a scholarship fund Harrison’s name.
