Miley Cyrus, 29, announces godmother Dolly Parton, 76, will join her New Year’s Eve Party in Miami to ring in 2023: ‘It’s going to be legendary!’
Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton will team up to co-host Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party live in Miami, and the former Disney channel star excitedly announced the news on her Twitter and Instagram pages earlier Monday.
The Hannah Montana actress, 29, and the country icon, 76, appear to be more than thrilled to work together on NBC’s star-studded event, which will bring in a number of celebrity guests and special performances.
The Here You Come Again singer, who also happens to be Miley’s godmother, expressed that the show will be anything short of ‘legendary!’

The two talented stars dressed to impress as they posed for a few professional snaps to promote the New Year’s Eve special.
Miley opted for a figure-hugging, bodycon dress that fell down just above her knees which contained thin straps.
She paired the ensemble with open-toed, black heels that were secured around her ankles with thin straps.
Her blonde hair was parted in the middle and fell down straight past her shoulders. The Wrecking Ball hitmaker was all smiles as she took photos with one of her music icons and inspirations.
Dolly also opted for glam, and donned an eye-catching, shimmering gold dress with a black, checkered pattern embroidered throughout the fabric.

The country star slipped into a pair of gold, platform heels that were comprised of see-through material on top.
Her blonde hair was parted to the side and slightly teased on top for additional volume. The star’s locks also flowed down past her shoulders in light waves.
The two performers cheerfully took snaps in a setting filled with both gold and silver balloons that were placed all around the floor along with confetti.
Streamers of the same colors were hung in the background and fell down towards the ground. Green palm trees were also placed behind the stars as props, most likely referencing to the fact Miley and Dolly will be ringing in 2023 in glitzy Miami.
On her social media posts, The Climb singer wrote a short and simple caption, typing out, ‘#NewYearNewCoHost @dollyparton.’

In the short clip, the stars sat at a small, circular table that was set up for a scrumptious meal.
Two glasses of bubbly champagne were placed in front of the singers, which is a staple to help toast to the new year. A bottle containing the tasty drink was placed next to the table in a classic ice bucket.
‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party is about getting glamorous and dressing your best,’ Miley stated towards the camera. Dolly quickly responded humorously with, ‘Well, we do that everyday don’t we, Miley?’
To conclude the reel, the country icon gushed to viewers that the show is, ‘going to be legendary!’
The two performers are no strangers to working together, and have notably sang Dolly’s hit song, Jolene, on stage together, along with starring in a Super Bowl advertisement earlier this year in February.

Miley’s New Year’s Party first aired on NBC last year, and due to the show’s quick popularity, the Malibu singer will be taking the stage once again to help say a final farewell to 2022.
Last year, the actress was joined by comedian and Saturday Night Live star, Pete Davidson, to help co-host the program.
According to Deadline, Miley is not only hosting the event, but has also taken on the role of an executive producer.
Jen Neal, the Executive Vice President, Entertainment Live Events, Specials and E! News, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, had a few words to say about bringing back the program for a second round.
‘The inaugural Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party was an unqualified success and we know this year’s show will be just as spectacular, with plenty of surprises and lots of fun,’ Neal expressed, reported Deadline. ‘We can’t wait to get the party started.’
Past collaborations: Miley and Dolly are no strangers to working together, and have collaborated on the country icon’s hit song, Jolene, and have performed on stage on a number of occasions; the two seen at the Grammys in February 2019
Special night: Dolly, who happens to also be Miley’s godmother, will have a chance to join the stage with the former Disney channel actress once again; seen in November in Los Angeles

Miley recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about the New Year’s Eve special and what she had strived to achieve with the show.
‘I think we represented what New Year’s is really about, which is connecting with each other, celebrating the year you’ve had, looking forward to the year that’s going to be,’ the beauty explained.
The actress and singer further revealed to the publication that last year’s show, which raked in a whopping 6 million viewers, was mainly improvised.
‘The whole show ended up being a test of improvisation because, again, we barely had any rehearsal time. Everything we had planned ended up being flipped upside down.’
In regards to musical guests joining the upcoming program, Miley added that she hoped to bring in, ‘more classic acts as part of the show.’
Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party will air live on NBC on December 31, and will also be available to stream on Peacock.
