Mindy Kaling had fun showing off her sexy new swimsuit Saturday after kickstarting her weight loss journey two years ago following the birth of her second child.  

The Mindy Project star, 43, showed off her toned legs and arms in a blue print bathing suit as she stood on a patio with a series of new Instagram pictures. 

‘The lowkey romantic gift my friends @traceywigfield and @loulielang gave me was this sexy blue one piece bathing suit which I was so excited to model. You know you have good friends when they’re excited to buy you intimate apparel!’ the funny lady captioned her post.

Tracey Wigfield was a writer on The Mindy Project and Lang Fisher is the co-creator, along with Mindy of the hit Netflix comedy Never Have I Ever.  

The Ocean’s Eight actress styled her dark hair in loos curls.

Large hoop earrings, sunglasses and natural making completed the look.

Director Ava Duvernay, 49, called her a ‘Cutie Patootie!’ while her The Office co-star Angela Kinsey, 51, commented, ‘You look beautiful! ❤️.’ 

The Screen Actors Guild award winner has been showing off her trim new body recently. 

The mom of two, Katherine, 4, and Spencer, 23 months, slimmed down by eating smaller portion sizes and making sure she moves her body every day.

The actress, who loves sharing recipes with her fans, told Today: ‘I’m never going stop being a foodie. I’m never going be someone who can just have spinach and salmon every day,’ the actor explained. ‘I just am really for the first time in my life, trying moderation, and I love it.’ 

She also makes sure that exercise fits in with her busy schedule. ‘Sometimes I’ll be like, “Well, I have four different times today where I have 10 minutes so let’s just walk instead of sitting down and checking Instagram,”‘ she said.

‘So instead of it being like one chunk of exercise in the beginning of the day or none at all, I’m now just deciding that I’m going to be a more active person all the time.’

Outspoken in the past about her struggles with losing weight, Kaling touts a healthy approach to finally succeeding in getting fit.

She does not restrict herself from eating all of the foods she loves. She simply eats less of it.

This approach is working for the star, who is revered as a role model to other women. Her healthy and realistic efforts have afforded her a dramatic change in her physique and one that should prove to have long-lasting results.

The Office cast member remarked that she had grown past her old ideas and had started to focus on how she could maintain a level of well-being through fitness.

Kaling stated: ‘I’ve tried really hard to let go of this idea of losing weight for vanity reasons and really trying to think of how I can be healthy.’
