Moment furious father ‘ploughs into children with his car in west London park after his daughter got wet… in a water fight’

  • Footage shows a car allegedly driving into a group of schoolchildren in London
  • Incident happened in Barra Hall Park in Hayes on Friday as temperatures soared
  • The driver was allegedly angry his daughter had been ‘soaked’ in a water fight

An angry father allegedly ploughed his car into a group of screaming children after his daughter was soaked in a water fight.

The dad was supposedly infuriated after schoolchildren ‘drenched his daughter’ during a water fight in a west London park as London saw record temperatures.

In footage posted online a man appeared to tussle with children in school uniform as they sprayed water pistols in Barra Hall Park in Hayes on Friday afternoon.

A silver car was then videoed mounting the curb outside the park and driving into a large group of children, who cried out as it approached.

Dozens of children were seen scattering as the car ploughed through the crowd.

A girl who witnessed the alleged attack said: ‘This guy tried to kill people.’

It is unclear whether the car hit anyone or if people were injured. Enraged children pursued the car after it returned to the road.

It came as Britons basked in the hottest day of the year for the third day in a row on Friday with the mercury hitting 32C (90F) as sunseekers packed parks ahead of Atlantic storm warnings over the weekend.

Temperatures reached 32.4C (90.3F) at Heathrow Airport at 2pm, two hours after a reading of 30.3C (86.5F) at the same location gave Britain its hottest day of the year so far.

MailOnline has contacted the Metropolitan Police for comment.
