Forget gingerbread houses, as meat lovers have now taken their skills up a notch to create lavish charcuterie chalets, complete with pepperoni tiles, pretzel windows and a roof made from slices of salami.
The remarkable creations are all different, but many feature a structure made from breadsticks and crackers laden with cream cheese and dips.

Fans of Italian cuisine are drooling after images of the edible structures were shared on Instagram , with many dubbing the treat the ‘perfect’ option for Christmas gatherings

Many have even gone as far as to grate Parmesan onto the chalets, so that it looks like snow, while others have added an assortment of crudites in the ‘garden’ of their chalet.
Thousands who saw the charcuterie chalets online were impressed with them and said they would love to try one for themselves.

But not everyone was on board with the idea, with some dubbing the edible creations (pictured) a bit ‘gross’
‘Omg, this is beautiful and such inspiration. I MUST try this,’ one woman posted.
‘I’m into it and particularly into the grated Parmesan as snow,’ another added.
A third wrote: ‘I am obsessed with these’.
But not everyone was on board with the idea of a charcuterie chalet, with one person writing: ‘Ew, this is so wrong’.
Another added: ‘I’m with you, it’s quite gross’.

The charcuterie boat generated a flurry of interest and was shared thousands of times online, with many saying it has inspired them to ‘up’ their game for making festive cheeseboards.
Pavlova grazing platters were another hit last Christmas, with thousands showing off their wooden trays with mini meringues and tiny jars of passion fruit, Nutella, homemade raspberry sauce, salted caramel and lemon curd.
These were served alongside fresh fruit, coconut, chocolate and mint on the side for garnish.
