This is the emotional moment a thoughtful bride and groom surprised a beloved relative at her care home because she was too ill to make the wedding.
Surrey radio presenter, Dave Goodings, and his wife Gemma, gave his grandmother Iris the shock of her life when they both turned up unannounced at her nursing home.
The video, posted to X, formally known as Twitter, revealed the newlyweds all dressed up in a tuxedo and wedding dress just a day after the wedding, so they could relive the special moment all over again for Iris.
The pair even repeated their wedding vows, which Iris praised as ‘so lovely’. The heartwarming moment captured the hearts of many viewers who were left in tears by the video.
Taking to Twitter, Dave wrote: ‘Unfortunately, my nan couldn’t make the wedding due to health issues.

‘The following day we went straight to her new care home where we decided to change back into our outfits so that she didn’t miss out. A very special moment for all of us’.

As he kneeled on the floor beside her, he turned his back away from the camera, but the emotion was clear for all to see.
Fighting back a flurry of tears, Dave told his beloved nan how they ‘missed her’ at the ceremony, to which she gleefully responded ‘I was thinking of you’.
And eager to showcase her wedding dress in all its beauty, Gemma twirled around in a circle – much to Iris’s approval: ‘It’s beautiful!’ she remarked.
