Naomi Campbell, 53, puts her supermodel legs on display in gold mini dress as she attends star-studded Victoria’s Secret event in NYC
The London-born model, 53, put her incredibly long legs on display in a golden mini dress, that also highlighted her toned arms.
The 90s runway sensation paired the look with unique gold heels, and wore her long raven tresses in a straight style. As for glam, the beauty opted for smokey eyeshadow, a touch of blush, and a light pink lipstick for the occasion.
The event is a celebration of the brand’s upcoming film-style fashion show, set to be released on Prime Video on September 26.
The underwear brand has launched the campaign to bring back models from the lingerie brand’s once-iconic ‘Angels’ list alongside some newer faces.
The star-studded event was also attended by Gigi Hadid, Lourdes Leon, Emily Ratajkowski, Lila Moss, Julia Fox among others.
Naomi also shared a reel from Victoria’s Secret to her Instagram Stories, where she put her fit form on display in a black lingerie set from the brand’s latest The Icon collection.
In the clip she explains in a voiceover what makes a woman iconic: ‘It’s a woman that knows what she wants, loves what she does, and just keeps breaking the rules and raising the bar high.’
‘The one, the only, @naomi,’ the brand captioned the post.
Though Naomi was a frequent runway star at Victoria’s Secret’s famous fashion shows, she was never an Angel.
As reported by People in 2020, the iconic supermodel told The Sun that the brand ‘could not afford’ her.
The brand launched a new The Icon Victoria’s Secret collection in August.
The campaign is part of the company’s major rebrand, after it was criticised for promoting unrealistic body image with its non-inclusive culture and accused of failing to protect its models against sexual misconduct.
Naomi has proved she has been very busy since she recently modelled her own PrettyLittleThing collection.
The Vogue cover star looked sensational as she slipped into an array of items from her range, which will be stocked in sizes four to 30.
A description about the collaboration on PLT’s official website states that the collection pays ‘homage to Naomi’s legacy and iconic signature style.’
The collab was engineered by the fashion brand’s founder Umar Kamani, who happens to be very close friends with the catwalk queen.
Themes maintained throughout the star-studded fashion show included halter neck silhouettes, mini dresses, and sheer materials.
Naomi’s collaboration with PLT was announced last month, with some expressing their distaste over promoting fast fashion.
Yet hitting back at the critics, Naomi revealed it was important for her to team up with the leading fashion brand in order to help the designers she’d worked with.
She told Women’s Wear Daily: ‘I’m looking at myself as a changemaker. As a changemaker, I thought this was something that was a good thing to do.
‘I know that it’s fast fashion, and that people have their criticism. I’m not denying them. But as a changemaker, I felt this was a great way to effect change in the industry in getting my emerging designers recognized and seeing them on a global platform.’
Naomi – who has spoken openly about her issues with racism in the fashion world – also discussed her thoughts on ‘diversity’ in the industry today.
She explained: ‘I’m so over the word. This is my point – I feel like so many people just use that word to tick a box, to make sure that they’re not called out or anything like that.
‘I don’t use that word. For me, it’s not about using the word or ticking a box — it’s about doing the action, the pure action. It’s giving a part of your platform and sharing it with someone, who is talented.’
