A Perfect Pairing has already been seen by 35 million viewers since May, and Demos says it could end up doing a lot more than pull heartstrings.

‘It feels like it’s a tourism ad for Australia,’ he said.

The plot sees an American wine-buyer (Justice) coming to Australia looking to finalise a business deal, but instead finds love in the Gold Coat hinterland with a sheep-farmer (Demos).

Demos, 37, said international audiences will be charmed by the scenery and, once they’ve soaked in the love story and the romantic atmosphere, they will be rushing to ‘book themselves a flight, I reckon’.

‘We’ll get a few more tourists for sure,’ he added.

Demos, who became a household name after baring all in the raunchy Netflix series Sex/Life, also said A Perfect Pairing was an opportunity to show off his ‘PG’ side.

Justice, 29, who rose to fame in the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious, also said making the film was an ‘amazing experience’.

‘I think [Australia] is such a beautiful place,’ she added.

Justice agreed that A Perfect Pairing was a potential marketing tool for Australia, but stressed that it’s ‘a feel-good movie’ at heart.

Production on the film injected an estimated $8million into Queensland’s economy and created 120 jobs, according to Variety Australia.
