New footage shows Lauren Boebert vaping at Beetlejuice performance – despite claiming smoke came from FOG MACHINE – taking flash photos and dancing with her arms in the air
- Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert was escorted out of a Denver theatre on Sunday night for unruly behavior during a performance of Beetlejuice
- Boebert can be seen in new footage vaping: she denied the claim, and said it was stage smoke. A pregnant woman behind her asked her to stop
- She is also seen taking selfies with a flash on her phone and dancing wildly in her seat with her arms in the air, blocking the view of others
New footage from a Denver theatre shows Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert taking selfies, dancing wildly in her seat, and vaping during a musical performance after denying doing so and claiming the vapor was stage fog.
New footage shared by News9 shows Boebert inhaling a vape before blowing smoke out through her mouth and nostrils. She previously denied using an e-cigarette and claimed her accusers had gotten confused with stage smoke.
Boebert, who became a grandmother earlier this year aged 36, was also seen taking a selfie during the show using a flash on her phone. She did so despite the obvious distraction it would have caused people sitting next to her at the performance, where tickets cost hundreds of dollars each.
And in a further faux-pas, Boebert was seen dancing wildly in her seat and waving her arms, likely blocking the view of those behind her. She admitted singing along to the show’s tunes – considered another breach of decorum in most theater shows.
A pregnant woman sitting behind her objected to her vaping, and ushers twice asked the congresswoman to stop taking photos during the show.
Boebert called the pregnant woman – who did not recognize her – a ‘sad and miserable person,’ the woman said.
The Republican firebrand was eventually told to leave – and was caught on camera giving theatre ushers the finger as she stormed out.
The 36-year-old, who became a grandmother earlier this year, was at the theatre with her date, Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher – who was embarrassed by her behavior, and offered to buy the woman sitting behind them a drink by way of apology.
Surveillance footage shows Boebert, wearing a tight, low-cut gold dress and high heels, making a considerable fuss as she and Gallagher left – taking a selfie as she leaves the auditorium and angrily baring her teeth at staff.
At one point, she also flipped the bird.
The Denver Post spoke to a pregnant woman who says she was sitting behind Boebert, but who was too scared to give her name for fear of MAGA-reprisals.
The woman claims Boebert said ‘no,’ when asked to stop vaping, sang with her hands in the air, blew vape smoke at her, kissed her date and took repeated videos during the show.
She claims she asked to move seats in the intermission – and that staff at the theater said theirs wasn’t the only complaint about the erratic lawmaker.
‘These people in front of us were outrageous,’ said the woman.
‘I’ve never seen anyone act like that before.’
The woman told the Post that Boebert’s lover Gallagher offered to buy them cocktails as a peace offering, which she had to decline because of her pregnancy.
According to The Denver Post, the congresswoman at one point asked: ‘Do you know who I am?’
She also threatened to call the mayor, and said she was on the board of the theatre.
An incident report noted the two received a warning at intermission about their behavior.
But five minutes into the second act, security officials got another complaint about a person being loud and recording the show.
‘They told me they would not leave,’ an usher said, according to the report.
‘I told them that they need to leave the theater and if they do not, they will be trespassing.
‘The patrons said they would not leave. I told them I would (be) going to get Denver Police. They said go get them.’
Afterwards, Boebert and her smartly-dressed date were caught on camera walking off through the empty nighttime streets of Denver.
Boebert’s press office denied that she was vaping – despite being caught on camera doing so.
Her spokesman said there had been ‘a misunderstanding from someone sitting near her’ who hadn’t noticed the ‘heavy fog machines and electronic cigarettes used during the play.’
DailyMail.com revealed on Wednesday that Boebert, 36, and Gallagher, 46, a divorced father of a 16-year-old son, have been secretly dating for several months.
According to a well-placed source: ‘It’s very surprising. I always thought Quinn was a cool guy and a Democrat. His parents would be horrified because they are definitely blue.’
Once outside Boebert’s indignation quickly dissipates as she holds her new lover’s hand, dances coquettishly and twirls for him in the street as they make their way through the city – a three-hour drive from Gallagher’s home near Aspen and even further from Boebert’s home in Silt, Colorado.
Pictures obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com show Gallagher in his hometown on the outskirts of Aspen where he owns Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar with partner Pat Flannigan.
The pair opened the bar billed as ‘rustic and unpretentious,’ in April 2016, and became co-owners last year.
Boebert’s divorce from Jason, 36, her husband of 18 years and father to her four children, is ongoing after the couple’s shock split in May.
At the time Boerbert insisted that she had always been faithful throughout her marriage.
In her statement, the sophomore congresswoman said: ‘It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband.
‘I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process.
‘I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult.’
It is not clear when Gallagher and Boebert’s relationship became romantic, but the bar owner originally comes from the congresswoman’s hometown of Rifle, Colorado, and still has family there.
It is just a stone’s throw from the controversial congresswoman’s home in Silt.
Gallagher was married to Seattle woman, Aleece Alexander, 48, in 2006.
They honeymooned in Puerto Vallerta and owned and ran the now defunct Mona’s Bistro & Lounge in Seattle – where their first and only child was born in 2007.
Divorce records obtained by DailyMail.com show that they split in 2013 by which time they had moved back to Gallagher’s native Colorado.
The hospitality business is something Gallagher and Boebert have in common.
Boebert had a brief foray into the industry as the owner of Shooter’s Grill in Rifle where customers could have their cheeseburger and onion rings served by a waitress with a 9mm on her hip.
The restaurant, which encouraged patrons to come armed, was shuttered in July 2022 after the landlord declined to renew Boebert’s lease.
The Republican admitted she was removed from the theater in a social-media post, downplaying her alleged behavior.
‘It’s true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud!’ she wrote.
‘Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week and please let me know how it ends!’
David B. Wheeler, president of American Muckrakers PAC, Inc, told DailyMail.com, ‘While Coloradans and Americans are struggling to make ends meet, Lauren Boebert is out frolicking, literally dancing in the streets, and making an absolute fool of herself.
‘I hope her constituents watch the video of her being escorted out of the theater with her new boyfriend where she gives the middle finger to an usher doing his job and aggressively points her finger at another usher.
‘What sort of person does this? Isn’t it time to fire Bobert and hire someone to get things done for Colorado?’
Boebert has had several firearms-related issues with Capitol Police in Washington, DC, and last summer, her soon-to-be-ex-husband reportedly threatened the family’s neighbors.
She recently became a grandmother for the first time, after her teenage son impregnated a woman.
Boebert was herself a teen mother and dropped out of high school during her senior year in 2004 when she got pregnant with Tyler, her oldest.
She had three more sons, including the 2009 birth of Kaydon, which occurred in the front seat of her husband’s pickup truck, and made local news.
