They co-starred in the movie musical Nine a decade ago.

Nicole cut a typically stylish figure in a black pencil dress with metallic studs, accessorizing with a long checked tie.

Sweeping her signature blonde hair into a ponytail, she balanced on a pair of spiky stilettos as she posed for the shutterbugs.

As she worked the room during the event, she also got to stand for a photo with Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue.

Meanwhile, Kate went for a black, white and grey tartan suit over a simple fitted white top, tucked in to emphasize her enviably trim post-baby body.

The movie was adapted from a 1982 Broadway musical based on 8 1/2, a semi-autobiographical 1963 film by iconic Italian director Federico Fellini.

Nicole’s character in the film Claudia Jenssen is a movie star based on Federico’s muse Anita Ekberg, the leading lady of his classic La Dolce Vita.

Meanwhile, Kate plays a fictional Vogue reporter – a new song called Cinema Italiano, which was not in the Broadway show, was written for her character in the movie.

Nicole also has a big solo song called Unusual Way, a number that was part of the original Broadway score by Maury Yeston.
