Nielsen has released its first ever weekly top
10 streaming programs. The first list covers August 3-9 and only includes Netflix
and Amazon Prime Video content in the US for now.
Nielsen’s rankings are based on the number of
minutes viewers who are subscribed to the services spent streaming the titles
during the week of August 3-9.
Netflix Original The Umbrella Academy took the top spot, with its 20 episodes earnings over 3 billion minutes of viewing time. The rest of the list is made up of older shows available to stream on Netflix, including Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, and Shameless which took the second spot with 1.125 billion minutes of viewing time.
