Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis put their messy split behind them as they cheerfully unite to watch their son Otis, nine, play soccer in LA
The exes – who were together from 2011 until 2020 and engaged for the last seven of those years – share Otis, nine, and Daisy, six.
After their split, they plunged into a protracted bout of legal wrangling over the children, mainly centered on where Daisy and Otis will live.
However, they have developed an amicable enough co-parenting relationship to put their differences aside and appear at their children’s events together.
Saturday was no exception, with both Jason and Olivia spotted chatting casually as they arrived to watch their son play soccer.
Olivia fired up her Insta Stories that day to share a snap of herself at the match, joking: ‘SOCCER MOMMING IN 100 DEGREE HEAT IS MY BURNING MAN.’
Jason and Olivia are frequently spotted at Otis’ soccer games, signaling the cordial equation they have retained in spite of their messy breakup.
In recent months, Jason and Olivia also found themselves united against the wrongful termination suit filed by their ex-nanny, Ericka Genaro.
The former couple scored a legal victory together just a few weeks ago, when a Los Angeles judge dismissed Ericka’s lawsuit.
Ericka had accused Jason of having ‘fired her on the spot’ when she requested three days of medical leave because of the strain of the job amid his breakup with Olivia.
The nanny exclusively told DailyMail.com that Jason used to text her about his angst over Olivia’s romance with Harry.
Ericka also claimed a fierce row erupted between Jason and Olivia after Olivia made a salad with her ‘special dressing’ to take to the English pop act.
Jason, according to Ericka, flew into a rage at Olivia and resorted to ‘lying under her car’ to try and prevent her from leaving the house and visiting Harry.
Olivia and Jason jointly hit out against what they called Ericka’s ‘false and scurrilous claims,’ blaring: ‘Her now 18-month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.’
In legal documents obtained by TMZ this May, the former couple claimed Ericka voluntarily quit her job rather than being axed.
They also maintained she was ‘taken care of by the family,’ who supposedly doubled her pay in 2020 and paid for her $22,000 vacation to London with her dog.
Sensationally, they also accused Ericka of having a criminal record that she failed to disclose while attempting to secure her job with them.
Jason and Olivia averred that Ericka had landed herself in breach of contract by going public with her remarks about the family’s private life.
Harry and Olivia dated for approximately two years before splitting up in March, and during their romance she directed him in the smash hit movie Don’t Worry Darling.
She has forcefully denied a persistent stream of conjecture that she first took up with Harry while she was still with Jason.
‘The complete horses*** idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate,’ Olivia insisted in Vanity Fair. ‘Our relationship was over long before I met Harry.’
