Olivia Rodrigo stuns in retro fringe mini dress at GQ Man Of The Year

GQ held its second Men of The Year ceremony at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles Thursday night.

Pop star Olivia Rodrigo, who has been hailed as the ‘voice of Generation Z’, joined a host of big names at the event, which came one day after the famous magazine paid homage to its honorees in London.

The Good 4 U star opted to go with a retro black, fringe mini dress that would have made any young starlet of the 1920s proud.

The skimpy shoulder-less number, which only fell to around the top of her thighs, appeared to have three layers of fringe, along with a small buckle that secured at the top of the dress.

The young singer-songwriter, 20, would get a lift to her 5ft5in figure by wearing a pair of black, open-toe platform heels.

When it came to accessorizing, the Murrieta, California native matched the small gold buckle with five gold rings and earrings.

Rounding out her overall look, the songstress had her long dark tresses pulled up a bun in the back, while leaving strands of long hair hanging around the frame of her face with a part in the middle.

Owing to the celebrated Flapper dress, the 1920s was the golden age for fringe fashion, as they gained significant popularity during the decade, according to most fashion experts, as reported by Pernia’s Pop Up Shop.

Ahead of the event KIm Kardashian was named GQ magazine’s Tycoon Of The Year as part of its 2023 Men Of The Year covers, whose other honorees included actor Jacob Elordi and rapper Travis Scott.

In the cover shot, Kardashian wears an oversized suit jacket, pinstripe white button-down shirt and tie as she licks off orange Cheetos crumbs from her thumb.

The 2023 Men Of The Year covers are scheduled to hit newsstands on November 28.

Of the 20 people who made the list of honorees for the UK event, 10 of them were women, which raised more than a few eyebrows.

Some of the women recognized as Men Of The Year nominees included Jasmine Jobson, Mary Earps, Simone Rocha and Bianca Saunders, to name a few.
