One dead, four injured in shooting at Oakland sports bar hours after Warriors win – San Francisco Chronicle

Oakland police were investigating a shooting at a sports bar Thursday night that left one person dead and several injured.

The shooting occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. at the Halftime Sports Bar at 316 14th St. downtown. Police said someone opened fire from a car.

Upon arriving, officers found an adult male victim with gunshot wounds, police said. Paramedics provided aid, but he died at the scene.

Officers also found an adult female at the scene with an apparent gunshot wound, and she was transported to a local hospital. She is in critical but stable condition, according to the Police Department.

Three adult male victims sustained gunshot wounds at the scene, which became known on their arrival at a local hospital, according to police. Their condition is not available at this time.

The Oakland police’s Homicide Division is conducting a follow-up investigation.

The violence occurred as people were celebrating the Golden State Warriors’ NBA championship over the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.
