Only Murders in the Building’s second season preview features Amy Schumer and Cara Delevingne

Only Murders in the Building’s second season preview features Amy Schumer and Cara Delevingne joining Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

A new trailer for the second season of Only Murders in the Building has been released, as Cara Delevingne and Amy Schumer make appearances in the mystery comedy headlined by Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short.

In the clip, Mabel (Gomez), Charles (Martin) and Oliver (Short) are seen contending with trouble as they’re persons of interest in the murder of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell) – amid a pileup of evidence pointing in their direction.

The trio – who examine Folger’s murder on their podcast – are further troubled by suspicions from their neighbors in the Big Apple, and attention from another true crime podcast from Cinda Canning (played by Tina Fey).

Mabel says, ‘Evidence keeps showing up in our apartments,’ while Oliver declares, ‘Whoever’s doing this is toying with us.’

Guest stars seen in the trailer include Delevingne, Schumer and Shirley Maclaine, who plays Folger’s mother.

Gomez, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast on Monday, explained how she relates to her character on the series.

‘I would say I relate to Mabel in the sense that I can be a little lonely sometimes,’ she said. ‘And I tend to have friends that are a bit older, and I love hanging out with my mom, so I’m very much that kind of person. And so I feel Mabel.’

John Hoffman, who co-created the show with Martin, told Entertainment Weekly last month that the second season explores the relationships between the three characters.

‘There’s a growing familiarity among them, for sure, now in season two, which also brings tests to the trust they’ve built, and a deeper reliance on each other as their main sources of support,’ Hoffman told the publication. ‘Can they step up for each other, when doing so may risk something they really want for themselves?’

Season two of Only Murders in the Building debuts with two new episodes on Hulu June 28; new episodes will be released each Tuesday.
