She shared an array of photographs of herself with her pet pooch, including selfies of them both during their countryside walks.

Alongside the pictures, she penned: ‘Then there’s the other kind of mourning.

‘Where you go to get your faithful workmate, companion, colleague & friend from her kennel. Only to find that she has passed away in her sleep.

‘Kate….that’ll do.’

It has been a difficult time for Amanda after it was announced this week that Our Yorkshire Farm won’t return to Channel 5 with another season.

The news comes after Amanda separated from her husband Clive in June after 22 years of marriage. The former couple starred on Our Yorkshire Farm together.

Amanda will reportedly not appear in Channel 5’s planned replacement for the programme, which will instead star Clive and their eldest son Reuben, 19.

The spin-off show, titled Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben & Clive, will see the father and son launch a digging business together.

The show, which will begin on December 6, will chart the challenges Reuben faces during his first year in business, supported by his father Clive, best friend Tom and girlfriend Sarah.

As well as Reuben, Amanda and Owen also share another eight children – Raven, 21, Miles, 15, Edith, 13, Violet, 11, Sidney, nine, Clemmie, six, and Nancy, five.

The news of the spin-off show came just a day after Channel 5 confirmed that Our Yorkshire Farm would not return following Amanda and Clive’s split.

Factual boss Daniel Pearl told The Mirror: ‘The Owens have become everyone’s favourite farming family and millions have enjoyed watching their unique way of life. It’s fantastic that we can now all follow Reuben and Clive on their next adventure.

‘We remain absolutely committed to the whole wonderful Owen family and hope to announce new projects with Amanda very soon.’

MailOnline contacted representatives for Channel 5 and Amanda Owen for comment at the time.

Amanda and Owen recently reunited for their eldest daughter Raven’s graduation, sharing snaps from the occasion on social media.

The former couple were seen posing with their children Raven and Reuben as they celebrated their eldest daughter’s graduation.

Meanwhile, in September, Amanda admitted that it had been ‘tough’ separating from her husband Clive but said ‘life carries on’ at their farm.

Appearing on Lorraine, she said she has ‘ups and downs’ as she continues to work on the 2,000-acre hill Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, co-parent their nine children and take care of about 1,000 sheep.

‘Life carries on on the farm. Obviously there is a whole raft of things to do – nine children, a whole heap of animals,’ she said. ‘We are just working away same as before.’

Asked by stand-in presenter Christine Lampard if life had continued as normal on the farm, she replied: ‘It does. That is reality. It is really tough and it is a really difficult aspect of it to get across.

‘But when you do reality it has to be just that. That means it covers the ups and downs and that can be on any level.

‘Because at the end of the day our priority remains, of course, to keep everything going.

‘There you go, that’s how it is. I felt like that needed to be out there so that people. There are new projects going on. There are exciting projects going on.’

The couple’s split came after they released a statement last year admitting they were experiencing a ‘rocky patch’ in their marriage and asked for privacy.

Our Yorkshire Farm launched in 2018 and Amanda last year published a book titled Celebrating The Seasons With The Yorkshire Shepherdess, which features stories and pictures from their lives in the countryside, alongside seasonal recipes.

In June, Amanda and Clive issued a joint statement with Clive on social media which said the couple have made ‘the difficult decision to separate’.

The statement continued: ‘This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family.

‘Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children.’

The couple added that they would like to thank everyone for their support and asked for privacy as they ‘work through this difficult time’.
