Pete Davidson’s SNL castmate Michael Che says he still hasn’t thanked him for Kim Kardashian romance after writing SNL kissing sketch that sparked the couple’s love

Michael Che revealed that he was the matchmaker that helped Pete Davidson catch Kim Kardashian‘s attention, but has yet to receive any thanks for doing it.

The long time Saturday Night Live star, 39, appeared on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show and shared that he wrote the Aladdin sketch that had Pete, 28, and Kim, 41, kiss for the first time, sparking the couple’s romance.

When Stern asked if he received any gratitude for the skit, he jokingly aired his frustration with his former co-star, saying: ‘Absolutely not. He hasn’t mentioned it.’

‘You are quite the matchmaker. You wrote the Aladdin sketch for Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian, and you write in a kiss. Look at all the trouble you started,’ Stern said.

‘First of all, now Pete is ensconced in this Kardashian lifestyle. Did he ever come to you and say “Thank you for writing this I got to make out with this chick and now I’m with her?”‘ the radio host asked.

After the funnyman revealed that he still hasn’t gotten a thanks, he went on to joke some more, adding: ‘In fact, this is the first I’ve heard they’re dating. Is it serious?

Meanwhile Davidson has since left the historic comedy show after seven seasons, announcing his exit on May 21, ahead of the 47th season finale show, which was his last one.

Aside from Davidson, comedians Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney also left, which Che discussed in the interview as well.

‘It’s like working in the police department. Everyone is like “I gotta get the f**k out of here.” It’s like a prison yard, everyone is saying they want to leave. But yet they can’t. It’s hard to do.’

When asked whether he’s jealous of his co-stars moving on with their careers he replied: ‘Part of me gets jealous of them leaving, but part of me would be jealous if I left and they stayed. You will miss it,’ adding, ‘It’s hard to walk away completely.’

‘It was a stage kiss, but it was still like, a little zing. It wasn’t anything like a super, crazy feeling. I was just like, “Hmm,” and then I was like, “Wow, I really haven’t kissed anyone else in 10 years, so maybe I’m just like being stupid and it’s just nothing and it’s just a stage kiss.”‘

The star also recently described how much her younger boyfriend turns her on by doing the simple things, after he offered to buy her cheap ice-cream from Rite Aid.

The reality TV star gushed about him on the ninth episode of her Hulu show The Kardashians, revealing that his offer to get Thrifty Rite-Aid ice cream made her, ‘so f***ing horny.’

Kim was previously married to rapper Kanye West, 41. She filed for divorce from the musician in February 2021, after seven years of marriage and four kids.
