Pregnant NYC hospital worker Sarah Comrie is now in HIDING because her ‘life and job’ are being threatened after she was accused of stealing CitiBike from black man – despite having receipt that proves she paid for it
A pregnant physician’s assistant is in hiding after a video showing the woman arguing with a man over a Citibike in New York went viral.
Sarah Comrie, 36, has reportedly received ‘death threats’ after footage was posted of her tussling with a man outside of Bellevue Hospital at the end of her shift.
Justin Marino, who is representing Comrie, says she was fearful she would lose her job over the incident – with the hospital putting her on administrative leave pending a review.
He said that he is ‘preparing lawsuits’, adding that there is ‘no question’ that outlets and individuals defamed the pregnant nurse.
Speaking to Fox News he said: ‘She’s received death threats. She’s in hiding.
‘What’s at play is what social media did to this woman who’s literally a hero, and has done nothing but help people and within one minute effectively tries to ruin her life.’

‘She’s been called a racist, she’s been called a thief… We plan to purse that.’
His comments come after DailyMail.com obtained the nurse’s Citibike Receipt – which Marino claims proves the bike she was clutching in the footage was booked by her.
Marino said the documents show she booked the Citibike outside of Bellevue Hospital after finishing her 12-hour shift – because the number on the handlebars match the receipt.
They show the ride was ultimately canceled, and she wasn’t charged, before booking another bike minutes after the incident.
Speaking to DailyMail.com about the incident, Marino said: ‘The receipts show unequivocally that she got the bike first.
‘But there is no animosity towards the men in the video. We frankly wish them the best in the future.
‘The focus is clearing her name and going after the publications and high-profile names that defamed her.’
He added that their complaints are against anyone who suggested she was a racist, after she was branded a ‘Karen’.

A GoFundMe set up by her uncle has raised $51,109 of their goal, and will go towards paying her legal bills.
It read: ‘She became embroiled in a much-publicized incident with a Citibike that unfairly painted her as a racist ‘Karen.’
‘The facts have since proven this is a lie, but the damage has been done. In fact, Sarah is a dedicated healthcare worker who is six months pregnant.
‘She holds racial justice and equity dear, and has dedicated her life to serving NYC’s most challenged individuals.’
Comrie, who had on blue scrubs emblazoned with ‘NYC Health + Hospitals, could be seen screaming for help and tearing up as a crowd gathered around them when the video first emerged.
In the clip a friend of the man can be heard defending him, saying the woman – branded a ‘Karen’ after the video – was in fact trying to steal from him.
Marino has vehemently denied these allegations on behalf of his client in a statement which refers to the receipts.
