The PS5 was released two months ago, on November 12, 2020, but some gamers have not yet managed to get their hands on the PlayStation 5 console. As the next-gen console has been so difficult to purchase, many PlayStation fans are probably wondering: when will PS5 be back in stock?
No major retailers have announced when they will be releasing more PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition stock, but as drops have often happened with no warning, it’s not time to give up just yet. Find out below what the latest updates are for stores including PS Direct, Newegg, Antonline, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.
PS Direct PS5 Restock
PlayStation Direct is currently out of PS5 stock. However, gamers seem to think that PS Direct will be releasing more PS5 consoles sometime this week, so it would be worth keeping an eye on the website just in case.
PS Direct does usually not warn customers about PS5 drops ahead of time, so to be alerted when the PlayStation Direct queue opens, be sure to follow PS5 restock update accounts on Twitter.
Newegg PS5 Restock
Newegg’s PS5 bundle which includes the Playstation 5 Digital Console, DualSense Controller, HD camera for PS5, and PlayStation media remote, is marked as “coming soon.”
Newegg has not announced when the bundle will be available but the website has an “auto-notify” button, which allows customers to enter their email to be alerted when it becomes available.
Antonline PS5 Restock
Antonline made the PS5 available last week but has not yet revealed when it will be releasing more stock. Earlier this month, Antonline said that it would be releasing more PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles sometime in January, but it is unclear if there will be a second PS5 drop.
Antonline generally updates its Twitter followers about when to expect more stock, so it is worth following the retailer on social media.
Walmart PS5 Restock
The PS5 is still not displaying on the Walmart website, as shoppers are met with the following message: “Oops! This item is unavailable or on backorder.” The PS5 has not been available at Walmart for a while and the retailer has not announced when more consoles will be available.
Target PS5 Restock
Both the PS5 and the Digital Edition are both marked as “sold out” on the Target website. Previously, the Target website asked shoppers to check PS5 stock at stores near them, but now they are completely unavailable.
However, some Twitter users believe that the “sold out” message may mean that more PS5 stock is coming to Target soon, as websites sometimes update their messaging before a drop. Keep an eye on the Target website just in case, and be aware that the consoles will likely be sold online only with pick up.
Best Buy PS5 Restock
Best Buy’s PS5 consoles and bundles are all marked as sold out and the retailer has not announced any restock dates. Gamers suspect that Best Buy will release more stock soon, however, so check the Best Buy website frequently.
