Police had been appealing for information about his whereabouts, noting that family and friends held grave concerns for his welfare as he lives with bipolar disorder.

A NSW Police spokesperson on Thursday afternoon said the ‘large-scale, multi-agency search’ involved Police Rescue, PolAir, Dog and Mounted Unite, Police Divers, Operational Support Group, SES and NSW Rural Fire Service.

Initial inquiries suggest the man’s death is not suspicious.

A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
