EXCLUSIVE: Eva Mendes rocks a pink party hat and a red summer dress as she and Ryan Gosling attend a family celebration at a hotel in Santa Barbara
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes enjoyed a rare outing together on Sunday, as they attended a family celebration at a hotel in Santa Barbara.
The Barbie star, 42 — who recently paid tribute to Eva on the red carpet — and the Hitch actress, 49, were seen unloading items from their Range Rover upon arrival.
The duo — who have been together since 2011 — brought a number of Gucci travel bags, two horse-shaped piñata’s, sombrero’s, fedora hats, and gift-wrapped presents.
The celebration might be for the couple’s eldest daughter, Esmeralda Amada, eight, who was born on September 12, 2014. The pair also share younger daughter Amada Lee, 7.
Eva was in great spirits for the occasion, rocking a mini pink birthday hat over one of her signature head wraps, as the pair walked with their dog.

She showed off her unique style in a red maxi dress worn over a blue and black halter top.
The Florida-born star wore a pair of black open-toe heels and shielded her eyes with a pair of black shades.
She rocked a green Gucci purse along with a brown tote bag for the occasion. Eva further spruced up her look with a pair of hold earrings.
Meanwhile Ryan rocked light denim with a matching striped short-sleeve shirt, and brown suede boots.
The Notebook star covered his bleach blonde tresses with a white baseball cap and wore a pair of sunglasses for the day.
During a recent interview with GQ, Ryan discussed parenthood with Mendes, and sweetly gushed that before meeting her, ‘I was looking for her, you know?’ adding that ‘it all makes sense now.’
He also revealed that he relies on his partner during challenging moments raising their girls.
‘I just lean on Eva. She knows what’s important, always. She just somehow knows. So if ever I’m in my head about it, I just ask her,’ he shared.
Gosling admitted that before meeting his partner, ‘I wasn’t thinking about kids,’ but, ‘after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn’t want to have kids without her.’

The La La Land star continued, ‘And there were moments on The Place Beyond The Pines where we were pretending to be a family, and I didn’t really want it to be pretend anymore. I realized that this would be a life I would be really lucky to have.’
In July, Gosling made a rare comment about his relationship while he paid tribute to her with a sweet jewelry choice at the Barbie premiere.
He was on the red carpet of his highly-anticipated film in Los Angeles on Sunday as he was asked about his partner’s constant gushing posts about him on social media about his role as iconic doll Ken.
He told Access Hollywood at the event: ‘It means everything. It means everything.’
Ryan and Eva have been notoriously private about their relationship despite sharing two daughters together – born in 2014 and 2016 – but he paid a sweet silent tribute to the mother of his kids at the star-studded event.
The Drive star donned a custom necklace featuring a custom ‘E’ pendant in the Barbie font at the gala event.
This came just days after Eva took to Instagram to gush about her man. The star uploaded throwback images from her and Ryan’s 2012 movie The Place Beyond The Pines.
She wrote, ‘Mi Hombre. Mi Vida… To say he’s the greatest actor I’ve ever worked with is an understatement.’
Earlier this year Eva interacted with someone online who expressed wanting to get a glimpse of the couple on the red carpet of an upcoming awards show.

‘But we don’t do those things together. Like these photos I’ve been posting, I’m only comfortable posting because it’s already out there.’
The beauty clarified: ‘By “not comfortable”, I mean exposing our very private life that we value.’
And then she teased: ‘I’m still dying to do another movie with him though…’
The star also made sure to preemptively clarify that the duo has made one public appearance together.
‘Oh wait – for those who may catch me in a “lie” – we only were on the red carpet together once when promoting [The Place Beyond the Pines].’
In 2020 Eva wrote on Instagram, ‘I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids. I’ll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won’t post pictures of our daily life.’
