Shane MacGowan and wife Victoria Mary Clarke shared throwback snaps from their wedding day on Instagram on Tuesday to mark their fourth anniversary.
Designer Victoria shared a picture of them both with their wedding cake and wrote: ‘It’s our fourth wedding anniversary today! We both forgot!!!’
Victoria, 56, had worn a long red dress by Bella Freud for the nuptials in Copenhagen, while wheelchair-bound Shane, 64, looked smart in a suit.

Something to say: Victoria posted this funny comment alongside one of the pictures she shared
Shane also shared a gallery of images from their special day – which was attended by Johnny Depp – along with a sweet message.
The Pogues frontman penned: ‘Oh the saying of the rosary and transubstantiation, along with whiskey in the ditch and lots of medication.
‘A brand new suit, a pocketful of loot, whiskey in the ditch and my own b**h, whose eyes dance to the music. She’s my black haired gypsy queen Victoria Mary Clarke.’
Shane has been wheelchair bound, on and off since a bad fall damaged his back a few years ago.
Happy days: Shane also shared these pictures on his own Instagram page as he celebrated his love

Depp, Shane’s friend of more than 20 years, played the guitar for the couple during the low-key ceremony, which was held at Copenhagen City Hall.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, journalist and bride Victoria said ahead of the couple’s big day: ‘Shane and I are both introverts and we decided that the only solution was to just elope together to someplace that we know nobody and nobody knows us, and keep it a secret.
‘But I have discovered something about weddings that I had not realised. People really, really want to show that they love the people that they care about.
Pucker up: Johnny jokingly puckered up for a kiss, while Shane and Victoria gazed into each other’s eyes in another image he shared
Forever friends: Johnny appeared on Shane’s 1994 album, The Snake. He directed and appeared in the video for That Woman’s Got Me Drinking. Depp also put in a performance at the singer’s 60th birthday in Dublin earlier this year, (pictured in 1994)
‘So, much as we might have liked our wedding to be a non-event, and because we have found it impossible to keep it a total secret, a few of our friends and family have elected to make it a tiny but beautiful thing.’
Meanwhile, the relationship between Shane and his loyal girlfriend is set to be made into a film, with Johnny thought to be in the running to play the singer.
Victoria previously took to Twitter and wrote: ‘Supposing there is a film being made about us who could play #shanemacgowan?
‘Obviously Meryl Streep but who else? @poguesofficial.’
She also told The Irish Sun: ‘It’s in the very, very early stages but they want to do a film based on our relationship. It’s a love story, it’s not a Pogues film although that will obviously be a part. We’re both very excited.’
There’s the ring: The pair have been together for 36 years and were engaged for 11 before they tied the knot
‘The only thing is they want someone to play Shane at around 24 or 25, which is when we met in London when I was 16. So I don’t know if Johnny could do it, although he is a brilliant actor.
Victoria added: ‘Shane is going to do the soundtrack so he’ll be back in the studio, he’s already been in a bit recently. It’s going well and he is loving being back at it.’
In an interview with The Irish Mirror ahead of her wedding, Victoria spoke about being ‘consumed’ by Shane when they met and also said she was attracted to his ‘monstrous arrogance.’
Smile! Pogues singer, Shane , underwent six operations over the course of six months to get his life-changing teeth back in 2015
She said: ‘I was awe-struck by him. I became consumed by the thought of him. He says that he felt the same way, that we were destined to be together. But ours were not to be easy, uncomplicated lives and ours was not to be an uncomplicated love affair.
‘We grabbed hold of each other and hung on for a ride that took us through a world of glamour and fame, creativity and ecstasy, drink, drugs and crazy, wild sex and on to madness, self-destruction and despair, violence, death, betrayal, rage separation and sadness and on and on towards revelation, renewal, compassion and hope for the future.’
She previously told the site that drinking was not her love’s only problem, and she once found him with a needle in his leg, but she said ‘you can’t help who you fall in love with.’
Victoria said: ‘When he answered the door to me after having missed his flight to the United States to open for Bob Dylan, and there was blood pouring out of his mouth because he had eaten a Beach Boys record, it looked as though it was the 100 tabs of acid that were the problem and not the gin and tonic.’
