Sonia Kruger was looking back at her days as a young ballroom dancer on Tuesday.

The Big Brother host, 57, shared a series of throwback photos from her days in the sport, proving she has barely aged a day.   

In the images, Sonia is seen as a bleach-blonde young performer, beaming for the camera in a series of glittering dance costumes.

She also shared photos of herself as a school girl, smiling widely for her high school portrait in a uniform. 

Sonia also shared some of her modelling photos too, shooting her best ‘blue steel’ for the camera in a trendy 1980s outfit.   

‘It was reel-to-reel when I started making this,’ she wrote in the caption, joking about her age.

Sonia was an award-winning ballroom dancer when she landed her breakout role in the film Strictly Ballroom. 

The television host played Tina Sparkle in the 1992 Baz Luhrmann-directed romantic comedy.  

Sonia was also a ballroom adviser in the movie and helped teach her fellow cast members how to dance.

It comes after Sonia shared her health and fitness secrets in May, telling the Healthy-ish podcast that dancing keeps her looking trim.

‘You’re working out but you don’t realise how much you are because you’re genuinely having a good time,’ she said.

‘It’s the kind of activity that makes everybody feel happy,’ she added.

The mother of one praised dancing for its fitness benefits, which include cardio, strength and resistance.

‘Even your own body weight is a form of strength training and resistance training,’ she said.

Sonia’s ballroom dancing background helped her get her start in the industry when she scored a supporting role in Baz Luhrmann’s movie Strictly Ballroom in 1992.
