Stranger Things’ creators Matt and Ross Duffer say there will be a time jump between seasons 4 and 5

Stranger Things’ creators Matt and Ross Duffer say there will most likely be a time jump between seasons 4 and 5 because there wasn’t a ‘feasible way’ to film the seasons ‘back to back’

The Stranger Things‘ child actors are growing up so fast that the show’s creators said they’ll have to account for it on the show.

Matt and Ross Duffer, who created the hit Netflix show, talked about having to do a time jump in between season 4, the first part of which came May 27 and the second part which is due out July 1, and season 5 in an interview with TVLine

‘I’m sure we will do a time jump,’ Ross said. ‘Ideally, we’d have shot [Seasons 4 and 5] back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that. So these are all discussions we’re going to have with our writers when we start the room up.’

The Duffers also admitted that they weren’t ‘ready to say yet a start date for shooting’ for the upcoming season.

While they’ve ben thinking quite a bit about season 5, Ross said the pair aren’t even finished with the second part of season 4 yet.

‘Believe it or not, we’re still working on Season 4,’ he told the outlet. ‘We’re trying to finish the final two episodes, they’re so massive.’
