Streaker at New Zealand Test match takes a selfie as he tries to run away from security guards

A streaker has hilariously taken a video of him running onto the pitch naked at a Test cricket match as he tried to escape the ground’s security guards.

The fan cupped his manhood as he sprinted onto the Bay Oval at Mount Maunganui during the first day of the first Test between New Zealand and Pakistan on Saturday.

He even ran directly in front of Black Caps captain Kane Williamson before finally being brought down by a flying tackle from one of the guards.

The streaker later released self-taken footage of his run on social media – during which he could be seen grinning as the two cricket teams watched on bemused.

Dramatic images of the run showed a security guard make a diving tackle to get the streaker on the ground as he held his phone out in front of him.

Fans joked the delay in the game had stopped Williamson, who was on 94 not out at the time of the interruption, from reaching his century on the first day.

‘Poor form from a streaker to go when the home side is batting. Know the game man,’ one said on Twitter.

‘Early defence was poor from security, showed no fitness or form and the streaker was able to penetrate with relative ease,’ another said.

The Kiwi skipper went on to reach 129 runs on day two.

At stumps on Sunday, Pakistan were 30/1 chasing New Zealand’s first innings score of 431.
