Strictly Come Dancing: Saturday’s Movie Week dances revealed

They may have missed out on Halloween, but Strictly will return on Saturday with Movie Week. 

With the first contestant Jacqui Smith eliminated from the competition on Sunday night’s show, the ten remaining celebrities will battle it out once again to try to get to the top of the leaderboard. 

The songs and dances were announced on Tuesday, with EastEnders star Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez dancing the American Smooth to Frozen’s Into The Unknown, while Clara and Aljaž Skorjanec with Tango to Lady Marmalade from Moulin Rouge.

Maisie topped the leaderboard last week with her passionate Tango to Midnight Sky by Miley Cyrus.  

Bill Bailey, who also impressed with his Quickstep, will Paso Doble to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly by Ennio Morricone with his partner Oti Mabuse. 

Caroline Quentin and Johannes Radebe will do their Couples’ Choice to Everything’s Coming Up by Roses Ethel Merman from Gypsy. 

Youtuber HRVY and Janette Manrara will take on the Cha Cha to Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee from Gnomeo and Juliet.

Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer will attempt to do better than last week after making the bottom two. 

The former Made In Chelsea star will perform the Charleston to Zero To Hero from Hercules.

Jason Bell and Luba Mushtuk will dance the Paso Doble to the Star Wars Theme by John Williams from Star Wars.

JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden will do the Foxtrot to Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head by B.J. Thomas from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, while Max George and Dianne Buswell will do their Couples’ Choice to The Simpsons Theme by Danny Elfman from The Simpsons Movie.

Same-sex couple Nicola Adams and Katya Jones who wowed with their street dance boxer-inspired routine last week will  Jive to Greased Lightnin’ by John Travolta from Grease.

Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice will also do their own take on the Foxtrot to Love You I Do by Jennifer Hudson from Dreamgirls. 

During the pre-recorded results show, politician Jaqui, 57, faced Made In Chelsea star Jamie in this week’s dance-off after landing at the bottom of the leaderboard with 25 and 31 points out of 40, respectively. 

The broadcaster branded her short stint on the series a ‘greatest adventure’ and expressed her gratitude towards her professional partner Anton du Beke, who she described as an ‘absolute joy to be with.’  

Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday and Sunday at 7.25pm on BBC One.
