Snow in Scotland as icy air sweeps in from the north

Parts of Britain face more than an inch of snow tonight amid icy conditions as temperatures fall as low as -10C. The Met Office has issued an ice warning covering nearly the whole of Britain from 10pm tonight until 11am tomorrow as a blast of Arctic air sweeps across the country, bringing frost and snow. The brand new housing estate invaded by SQUATTERS

Squatters have taken over several brand new homes after a bizarre legal ruling banned residents from moving into their own properties. A bitter row over an access road means family homes, which have already been bought, are still unoccupied until the issue is resolved. A mistress conducted a bizarre campaign against the unsuspecting wife of the man she was sleeping with – by planting children’s windmills and lollipops in her garden. Russia loses control of its only space telescope

Russia‘s Spektr-R satellite telescope has stopped responding to commands from Earth after spending seven years in space, according to officials. The country’s only orbiting telescope fell silent as the satellite’s communication systems stopped working but the craft is continuing to transmit data. Roscosmos, Russia’s space agency, says its specialists have made many failed attempts to fix the lost connection, which has been out since last Friday.
