Matt and Khanh have been friends for some time.

In July 2022, the astrophysicist and the former Masterchef Australia star played up for the camera in a photo booth while attending a charity function.

In photos from the event, Khanh placed his hand on Matt’s head while Matt wrapped his arms around his hips.

They appeared to lean in for a kiss and were just inches away from locking lips as the camera snapped the photo.

Despite supporting his Bachie mate, Khanh recently admitted he would never sign up for the reality dating series.

In an interview with Now To Love last year, the reality TV alum said he ‘really doesn’t want to be the gay Bachelor’.

‘It sounds amazing, but I will be the man standing at the end with no one,’ he told the publication.

As for Matt, he recently revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that there’s always a chance he’ll return to television – as long as it’s for a good cause.

The hunky scientist told the publication he didn’t feel like enough of a celebrity to ever appear on SAS Australia or I’m A Celebrity like his other Bachelor co-stars.

However, the self-proclaimed ‘space nerd’ went on to say he’d be willing to leverage his platform and return to television to support a charity.

‘It would have to be the right opportunity. A lot of them often have a charity kind of thing attached to them and I’m always up for leveraging the platform that I’ve been blessed with to contribute in that way,’ he said.

He continued: ‘But it’s certainly not something I’m kind of actively pursuing, and certainly I wouldn’t be looking into another dating show or anything of that kind of nature.

‘I mean, if there’s an opportunity and it seems like it would be fun, and especially if there is a charity component, I’d certainly jump at it.’
