Tensions were high during Sunday’s nerve-wracking auction day grand finale which saw married couple Kristy and Brett lash out after only making a small profit on their house.
The married couple, both 34, looked absolutely heartbroken upon hearing their house sold for just $3,035,000 – only $65,000 above the reserve price.
‘Australia got what they wanted, so!,’ Kristy sniped.
‘I hate to look ungrateful, $65K is massive to some people but we gave up three months of great jobs, it doesn’t cover it,’ Brett added.
The pair then went to meet their fellow contestants and Kristy shocked them by lashing out when they applauded her, making a scene in front of them.
‘Why would you clap? Sorry everyone, but our agent s**t the bed, they f**ked it up for us,’ a furious Kristy ranted.
The pair were touted as this year’s ‘villains’ for feuding with Eliza and Liberty.
The couple were outspoken throughout the season about the pair of gal pals, accusing them of ‘cheating’ and getting favoured treatment from producers.
Meanwhile, fellow Blockheads Leah and Ash were left equally devastated when bids on their house failed to reach their reserve price, meaning it was passed in, under the hope it can be sold later on.
Elsewhere on the episode, Steph and Gian were the runaway winners with their house selling for an incredible $5million.
They walked away with $1.65 million profit plus prize money of $100,000, bringing their total earnings to a record breaking $1.75 million.
Steph and Gian’s House 4 was first to auction, and it was a tense time for the pair, who called their $3.35 million reserve ‘hell’ and feared they would not make money on the sale.
The bidding quickly reached $4million thanks to serial bidder Danny Wallace, but the action was halted after a woman fainted during the auction and was taken to hospital.
After the pause, the bidding stalled at $4million, before jumping a million dollars straight up to $5million – and the hammer fell, with House 4 sold.
The $5million sale gave the pair $1.65 million profit, with Steph and Gian embracing and bursting into tears as they called the money, ‘life changing’.
The house was sold to Adrian Portelli, known as ‘Mr Lambo’, who said he wanted to prove he was a real bidder after controversy last season.
‘After the slack I copped last year, had to prove I’m not a dummy bidder and came out hard and strong’ he said.
