The cast of The Bachelors claim the new season of the dating show has been ‘cursed’ by bad luck as one star almost DIES

The cast of The Bachelor have claimed the new season of the Channel 10 dating show has been ‘cursed’ by bad luck.

It comes after a string of mishaps have dogged the cast of the latest series, including a fire, a near fatal accident, in which one of leading men almost died, and loss of income.

Felix Von Hofe, Jed McIntosh and Thomas Malucelli star this season and each have had more than their fare share of misfortune.

A source revealed to Yahoo the reality stars just wished the ‘whole thing would be over’ after their lives have been turned upside down since they filmed the series last August.

Back in August, Daily Mail Australia revealed the handsome trio were all ‘pi**ed off’ when they were told the dating show wouldn’t be airing until 2023.

McIntosh, Von Hofe and Malucelli were reportedly ‘fuming’ they needed to ‘keep their lives on hold’ and delay any travel, career or business opportunities that popped up.

‘The cast weren’t able to return to social media until three months after the final air date,’ a source said at the time.

Meanwhile, loss of income was the least of Malucelli’s problems after the Bondi-based transformation coach, 35, was rushed to hospital last October after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car.

Malucelli, who suffered a broken collarbone and a torn ligament on his thumb in the crash, told fans on his Instagram that he was ‘grateful to be alive’.

In December, co-star McIntosh suffered his own tragedy when his Melbourne studio caught on fire, just two days after Christmas, destroying $200,000 worth of recording equipment.

One of the many items destroyed was the musician’s $30,000 drum kit.

Sentimental plaques and autographed photos with some of the big names in the music industry were also destroyed in the fire.

Staple Studios, located in the inner-city suburb of Brunswick East, hosted two recording studios, a workshop space and design studio.

It couldn’t have come at a worse time for the rocker, who is scheduled to give The Bachelors one last push in the press next week ahead of its January 9 premiere date.

In a franchise first, the new season of The Bachelors will feature three male suitors – Hofe, McIntosh and Malucelli.

The revamped series promises to be full of drama, betrayal, and of course, romance – with two suitors dropping to one knee propose to their chosen girls.

This is where the contestants go if they want to have a secret tryst. There is a giant bed, a hot tub, and a few sex toys to add some excitement.

Season 10 will begin with leads Felix, Jed and Thomas going on a blind date with each of their participants before inviting them to live in the Bachelor mansion with a rose.
