- Mick Lynch has raised eyebrows with his choice of Facebook profile picture
- However, rail union boss not the only public figure to choose an avatar or drawing
- Here, we reveal some of the stars who have an alternative social media profile
Firebrand railway union boss Mick Lynch has raised eyebrows – both slim and bushy alike – with his choice of Facebook profile picture – The Hood from Thunderbirds.
In the 1960s show, he’s a criminal mastermind and the world’s most dangerous man, and it’s unclear if Lynch relates more to The Hood’s fearsome reputation, or just his bald head and hirsute eyebrows.
However, he’s not the only public figure to choose an avatar or drawing as their profile picture on social media, whether to poke gentle fun at themselves, or to stand out from the crowd.
There’s been a recent craze for the world’s biggest stars to adopt an NFT – or digital artwork – as their profile picture because a mirror selfie is just far too Z-list and a professional photoshoot picture is just so Facebook circa 2012.
Here, Femail reveals some of the stars who have adopted an alternative social media profile snap – from drawings to emojis to digital characters – but how many can you identify?
