The flattering red lipstick by MAC that’s been voted best by celebrities and beauty experts

Celebrities and beauty experts alike have dubbed the best red lipstick in the world to be a flattering shade by cult brand MAC Cosmetics.

According to Beauticate, ‘Lady Danger’ by MAC came out on top as the go-to lipstick for many of their celebrities profiled, from Aussies such as Anna Heinrich to Sophie Falkiner and even Miley Cyrus.

The semi-matte orange/red lipstick, $36, was one of the first products to put MAC on the makeup map, and it’s easy to see why women love it.

The matte lipstick is creamy and rich without leaving a sticky residue on the lips, while wearers claim the colour lasts for hours.

While some might think the orange-y hue to the lipstick might not suit all skin tones, hundreds of women beg to differ – giving the product four and a half stars out of five online.

Reviews on the Mecca website are similarly glowing, with many saying the lipstick has swiftly become a staple in their makeup bag.

‘Bought this a few weeks ago in Lady Danger and its become a favourite of mine!,’ one woman posted.

‘Goes on nicely, wears nicely and don’t find the matte formula drying.’

Another added: ‘I only bought Lady Danger recently, but it’s now my all-time favourite. I’ve worn it every day since.

‘The colour is 100 per cent opaque, one swipe and you have perfect coverage.

‘It’s creamy and smooth and is the right shade of a deep red-orange I have been looking for.’

Others said the hero product works just as well on fair hair and skin as it does on a more tanned complexion.

Speaking previously to FEMAIL, Anna Heinrich revealed her beauty secrets – which include Blessed by Nature’s Sensitive Moisturiser, a body cream and eye serum each night.

She also cited Lady Danger as one of her all-time ‘favourite’ lipsticks.

When it comes to her day on a plate, Anna is a firm believer of the fact that true beauty starts from within.

‘I always start my day off with a green tea and lemon followed by a cappuccino,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘My first meal of the day is usually at around 11am or midday, when I will have two poached eggs, tomato and avocado, with crispy bacon when I’m feeling naughty. It’s so good!’

In the afternoon, the 33-year-old said she’ll either snack on a ‘small kale salad with salmon, tuna or chicken, or some dark chocolate if I feel I need a treat.

‘For dinner, I’ll have a piece of grilled meat with vegetables or salad, followed by some fruit and/or yoghurt for dessert,’ she said.

She also doesn’t deprive herself, and will allow herself the odd glass of wine or sweet treat.
