A 13-year-old contestant wowed all four judges during the final blind auditions round of The Voice Kids.
Paloma told the teen: ‘You’ve got an exceptional voice and I’d love to work together in making something incredible happening on Team Paloma.’
Pixie then told him that he was ‘original’ which got her ‘all excited.’
Danny added: ‘I’m feeling the Sonny sound. Your vibrato was original to you and I’d love to work with you.’
Will.i.am, in classic Will.i.am fashion, made a dad joke.
‘You sing phenomenal and you’re proof it’s always sunny in London,’ he said.
In the end, Sonny chose to be on Paloma’s team and we think he made a great choice.
The winner of this year’s competition gets a whopping £30,000 music bursary and a family vacation to the States.
Meanwhile, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the live final will air in August without a studio audience.
Entertainment host Richard Arnold revealed the exciting news on Good Morning Britain.
Speaking to Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray, Richard explained: ‘I can reveal the long-awaited final of The Voice Kids will be going ahead on August 29.
‘It is going ahead will all the bells and whistles attached meaning coaches’ chairs, two-metres apart, every performance will be choreographed to enable social-distancing.’
The Voice UK Kids airs on Saturday at 7:25am on ITV.
