Scattered thunderstorms could bring severe weather to Delaware Thursday night.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for all three of the state’s counties. It is in effect until 10 p.m.
The possibility of thunderstorms begins after 6 p.m. Thursday. Heavy thunderstorms are expected in the Dover area and further south after 7.
The tornado watch covers southeastern Pennsylvania, eight counties in New Jersey and four counties in northeast Maryland.
While tornadoes are a very uncommon occurrence in Delaware, three tornadoes touched down in one week in August.
