Ten fire trucks fought the inferno at the scene on Sunday morning, with it only extinguished well after the rescue efforts.

It’s not clear yet what triggered the fire but police are currently investigating.

The child has been rushed to Westmead Children’s Hospital and remains in a serious condition.

The two that have died are yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established and forensic police will attend later on Sunday.

A report on the two deaths will be prepared for the Coroner.
