UK logs another NINETEEN cases of monkeypox as rash-causing virus usually only seen in Africa is elevated to same threat level as the plague, rabies and measles

Another 19 people in the UK have been diagnosed with monkeypox, as cases of the tropical virus in Britain hit 321.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) confirmed 18 more infections have been detected in England since Monday, while another person in Scotland has tested positive. 

The UK has logged 302 infections, the most out of any other country, followed by Spain (190), Portugal (143), Canada (80) and Germany (66)
